Planning Your First Appointment
We’re always excited to welcome families to Souris Valley Dental Group for the first time! Before the day of the appointment, though, we highly recommend that you review this page so that you know exactly what to expect during your visit and how you can prepare. Your First Visit
Your first visit at a new dental office is extremely important. It’s when your dentist has a chance to get a feel for the current state of your oral health so that they can start creating an appropriate treatment plan for you. You’ll be given some paperwork to fill out, and during your visit we’ll ask about any preexisting health issues or concerns you might have. And of course, your visit wouldn’t be complete without a thorough examination of your teeth and gums.
For many patients, the most stressful part of a dental appointment is when it’s time to pay. We want to make things as easy as possible for you so that you never have to worry about affording dental care. In addition to accepting most major credit cards, we’re willing to work with a wide variety of insurance plans. After your appointment, we’ll fill out the paperwork and file the necessary claims so that you can reap the insurance benefits that you’re entitled to.
It is our goal here at Souris Valley Dental to provide you with excellent dental care through treatment plan options and financial arrangements that will meet your needs. We never want finances to stand in your way of premium dental care. Our staff will help you choose one or more of the options below to finance your dental treatment:
- We accept: Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express
- We offer a courtesy adjustment to patients who pay for their treatment in full the day of service.
- We offer an in house benefit plan, see details of our "Souris Valley Perks" program below
- If you do not have a dental insurance policy, or your insurance benefits come to your home, you will be responsible for payment on the day of treatment. If you are not able to pay in full, or if your treatment requires several visits, you will be given an estimate and will be able to discuss payment arrangements with a member of our business office staff.

Souris Valley Perks Program
For patients who do not have insurance and are unsure if they want to apply for third party financing, we have yet another alternative: the Souris Valley Perks Program. The way it works as simple: you pay a small annual fee ($39 for an individual, $75 for a family), and in return you’ll enjoy a 15 percent discount on all services.
