Mark Hildahl, DDS
Providing dental care to the people of our community is a true labor of love. I really enjoy helping people feel better about their health, solving their dental problems, and providing a friendly relationship with them. I always try to put my patients first and understand their wants and needs. The long-term relationships I have built with our family of patients have provided me with great joy.
Education and Experience
I attended North Dakota State University for my undergraduate education, and went on to earn my Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1977. Following graduation, I served on the faculty at the University of Minnesota before joining Dr. David Keup in 1978.
Continuing Education
Dentistry for me has been a lifelong learning experience. Continuing education has been important to my development as a dentist and a benefit to my patients. I am committed to delivering the best services that modern dentistry has to offer.
This dedication to learning has included extended commitments to several different dental post-graduate education opportunities. As a 30 year member of the Academy of General Dentistry and one of only six North Dakota dentists to achieve Fellowship status, my patients can trust that the care they receive is always of the highest quality.
I have completed courses at several well respected dental education centers including the LD Pankey Institute, the Las Vegas Center for Dental Education, Straight Wire Orthodontic Seminars, Dawson Seminars, the Buchanan Endodontic Center, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Dental Practice Administration, and the Two-Bit Study Club. I have also served in dental offices as a consultant and coach for practice management under the 1000 Gems Company.
Outside the Office
I was born right here in Minot, only leaving to pursue my education. My wife, Linda, and I have been married since 1979 and we have two children, Jennifer and Michael, who are both completing their doctoral education in the healthcare field.
Our family has always been active in many sports over the years including curling, hunting, hockey, golf, softball, and water sports. Our children competed in hockey, swimming and diving, football and softball. We are avid UND Sioux hockey fans and attend most of their games in Grand Forks.
Community Involvement
Being active in our community has always been an important priority for my family. We are participants and leaders in several civic groups, and I have served as an officer or director in several organizations in our community, including:
